Faculty Spotlight

Maurice Chia

Maurice Chia is currently contracted to manage the equity strategy deployed at a hedge fund in New York. Developed by Maurice, the approach uses a blend of stochastic and actuarial methods to achieve its intended results. His other expertise includes formulaic rebalancing techniques used in investment planning, which he has shared with a host of wealth managers in the region.
 
Maurice facilitates the American Management Association’s Advanced Financial Modeling and Forecasting workshop and its various financial training seminars. Besides these, he has delivered workshops on Strategic Planning, Executive Information Systems using Big Data, as well as, training in insurance reserve estimation techniques.
 
In the course of his career, Maurice has held various senior management positions in both public and private multinational organizations where the analysis of data contributing to corporate ROI was of crucial importance. He has also spear-headed projects at both country and industry levels.
 
Maurice is a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and Its Applications (UK) and has an MBA in Finance and BSc in Mathematics & Computer Science.
